Allie Margaret White, 81, died July 5, 2013.
She was born July 12, 1931 in Hoxie, Kan. to Everett and Mildred Baxter.
She lived in Missouri during her childhood, then moved with her family to the Lebanon area during her teen years.
She married Lloyd White on April 2, 1955. They moved to Sweet Home shortly after marriage.
Mrs. White worked at the IWA Union Hall for several years. She quit for a few years, when Mr. White started a State Farm Insurance office in Sweet Home, and worked as his secretary at that time. She went back to the IWA Union Hall a few years later and worked there until her retirement.
Mrs. White loved to create things. She loved to sew, so would make clothing for herself and her daughters. She helped create weddings for all four of her daughters and made the dresses that were needed for these events.
She loved cooking/baking, and was constantly clipping and trying new recipes.
She had a lifelong love of books. During her later years she spent many hours enjoying whatever book she could get her hands on.
Mrs. White is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Dana and Les Stone; Mona and Rick Gordon; Kari and Tom Brown; and Nyla and Craig Rawie, all of Oregon; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and all three of her siblings.

A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Friday, July 12, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel, 1443 Long St, Sweet Home, Oregon.
