Myrtle Lenore (Lamke) Davis, 99, of Siletz passed away from natural causes on June 12, 2013.
Myrtle was born April 2, 1914 in Bain, Minn. to Charles and Pearl Lamke. She moved to Siletz in 1948 and lived in several locations in Oregon and Idaho, moving back to Oregon in 1974. She resided in Sweet Home for many years before relocating back to Siletz in 2002.
Myrtle was a 28-year member of the American Legion and was a member and officer in the Ladies VFW. She was also a hunter safety instructor for many years.
She enjoyed gardening, reading Western books, cooking and playing cards.
Myrtle is survived by three brothers and two sisters out of 16 siblings; daughters Ruth and Gayle; sons Ray and John; multiple nieces and nephews, 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Clarice Rilatos of Siletz; son, Robert Roy Taylor of Sweet Home; and three husbands, Ralph Taylor, Harold Anderson and Owen Davis.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at the VFW in Sweet Home. The service is open to friends and family.
