Lorene Vern Baldinger, 90, of Sweet Home died April 4, 2013.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1923 in Cushing, Okla., to Oliver and Tinney (Bittick) Coonrod.
She moved to Orosi, Calif., as a child with her family. She moved to Portland at age 18 with her first husband.
She married Clayton Robert Baldinger in 1953. Soon after, they came to Sweet Home.
Mrs. Baldinger was a member of Church of God (Harvest Christian Center) She was a homemaker, who enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing and quilting. Her biggest pleasures came from the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by son, Dean Baldinger of Sweet Home; sister, Jessmon Baldinger of Sweet Home; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by husband, Clayton Robert Baldinger; son, Harvey Burton; brother, Ralph Coonrod; and sisters, Della Gaylor and Myrtle Bray.
A viewing will run from 10 a.m. to noon on April 10 at the Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Harvest Christian Center. Final burial will be at Gilliland Cemetery. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
