Lottie McGuire

May 30, 1946 – Feb. 15, 2013

Lottie E. McGuire, 66, of Sweet Home died Feb. 15, 2013.

She was born May 30, 1946 in Auburn, Calif. to Virgil Leon and Clara Elva (Oller) Wilson.

She married W. Duane McGuire in Lincoln, Calif. in 1964. From there they moved to Roseville, Calif., then to Great Falls, Mont., and eventually settled in Sweet Home in 1988.

Mrs. McGuire worked in the school library, a business office, as well as owning her own daycare service. She worked for several transportation companies; her last employer was Van Dyke Trucking. She loved going to work every day. She always had a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eye. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. McGuire loved to cook, sew, quilt, craft and paint and was a never-ending source of talent. She loved people and was always willing to help others. Her door was always open to those in need and her arms were open with a hug. Her love for the Lord and joy for living will forever be remembered.

She is survived by her husband, W. Duane McGuire; children Gary McGuire and daughter-in-law Amber, and Catherine and son-in-law Richard Kotzian; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Sweet Home Assembly of God Church. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements
