Ray H. Williams

May 31, 1928 – November 23, 2012

Ray H. Williams, 84, of Japton, Arkansas, died November 23, 2012 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Ark.

He was born May 31, 1928 in Japton, Ark., the son of Carl and Iva Haskins Williams.

He retired in 1975 from Willamette Industries, after residing in Oregon for 25 years. Ray was an avid outdoorsman and loved the hunting and fishing in Ore-gon.

He and his family moved back to Arkansas the year he retired. He was a member of the Mountain Grove Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; S.R.Williams and Curtis Williams.

Survivors include: his wife of sixty years, Emma Lee Parker Williams of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Doug Williams of Lowell, Ark., and Kim and Kathy Williams of Japton, Ark.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Ron Loe of Corvallis, Ore. and Tammy and Don Shackelford of Combs, Ark.; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Jean Williams of Crosses, Ark.; two sisters, Margie Combs of Fayetteville, Ark., and Alta Jo Mounce of Delaney, Ark.; six grandchildren, Regan Loe, BJ Loe, Chris Williams, Colin Williams, Haley Williams and Hanna Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Nov. 26, 2012 in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home, with his nephew Danny Williams officiating.

Interment was at the Ledbetter Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville, Ark.

Pallbearers were grandsons Chris and Colin Williams, and nephews Steve Combs, Glen Williams, Jimmy Williams and Danny Parker.
