Adeline Marianne Davenport, 86, of Albany and formerly of Sweet Home died on Sunday, April 8, 2012.
She was born in Washburn, N.D., to Frederick F. and Alvena (Schacher) Keck.
She attended grade school and graduated from high school in Washburn, N.D., in 1943. She graduated from Bismarck Junior College in Bismarck, N.D. in 1946.
Mrs. Davenport was employed by the Bismarck School system as secretary to the junior high principal and then as secretary for the vice principal and the counselors at Sweet Home High School from 1966 until retiring in 1986.
Mrs. Davenport was a member or the Oregon State Secretarial Association and had been a church pianist at churches in North Dakota and Oregon for 56 years. She was a past member of Washburn Baptist Church in North Dakota and Elm Street Baptist Church in Sweet Home. She enjoyed playing the piano at Wynwood Assisted Living.
Mrs. Davenport is survived by children Lana G. Davenport of Albany, Larry A. Davenport of Tigard, Rik L. and his wife, Lynnie Davenport, of Lebanon, Lance E. and his wife, Julie Davenport II, of Abilene, Texas, L. Scott and his wife, Ann Davenport, of Bend; brother Rueben W. Keck of Wichita Falls, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Esther L. Keck Grueneich; brothers Dr. Ted F. Keck, Alvin F. Keck, Gilbert L. Keck, Arnold W. Keck and Elmer L. (Bud) Keck; and one great-grandchild, Cooper E. Miller.
