Roth was born to Alfred Albert
Robitaille and Anna Marie
Louise (Heidbrink) Robitaille
November 17, 1921, in Denton,
Montana, the first of two children.
Jeanne peacefully entered
God’s presence at 8:30 p.m.
March 27, 2012, following complications
resulting from a fall.
Her childhood was spent in
the Santa Clara, Oregon, area
before moving to Corvallis her
junior year of high school. She
spent a year in nursing training
at St. Vincent’s in Portland, and
then lived in Eugene until she
was married to Jacob Roth September
16, 1941, in Albany, Oregon.
She was a member of the
Fairview Mennonite Church.
Before Jake and Jeanne
moved to the Albany Mennonite
Village in 1999, the Roth family
lived on 40 acres in Holley, Oregon.
Jeanne was a loving wife
and mother of four children.
Aside from gardening, harvesting
and canning the abundant
produce from the rich farmland
along the Calapooia River,
Jeanne’s heart and passion was
that all would come to know and
love Jesus Christ.
To this end, she was a Child
Evangelism leader for many
years, led adult Bible studies,
wrote to pen pals throughout the
world, and volunteered for Gospel
Echoes NW, correcting prisoners’
Bible study worksheets.
At 57
she started
her new career
as an administrative
assistant with,
and retired
from, the Department
of
Health Services in Lebanon.
She is preceded in death
by her husband Jacob Roth, son
James Roth, parents, and brother
Clarence Robitaille.
She is survived by her
daughters Judi Willems and
Joyce Olsen (Alan), son Jared
Roth (Ann), grandchildren Donavan
Willems, Cheri (Willems)
Williams, Lorayne Olsen, Lynell
(Olsen) Ray, Todd Olsen, Jordan
Roth, Hillary (Roth) Robertson,
and great-grandchildren Morgan,
Madelyn and Meg Williams,
Dawson, Landon, Garron
and Vinton Willems, Katie Ann
and Julia Robertson, and Christina
Roth.
Memorial contributions to
the Child Evangelism Fellowship
of Oregon, Gospel Echoes
NW, or Albany Mennonite Village

A memorial service will be
at 10:30am, Friday, May 4 at the
Fairview Mennonite Church.
