Elva Jean Funk, 80, of Sweet Home, died March 21, 2012.
She was born April 13, 1931 in Sweet Home to Frank and Rita (Lundholm) Sommers.
She grew up in Sweet Home and graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1949.
Mrs. Funk was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she willingly offered her service throughout her life. She met the love of her life, Lowell C. Funk, in 1948 and they were married for time and eternity in 1950 in the Logan, Utah temple. She dedicated her life to her husband, children and home. Her life and actions reflected her belief, “My Family is My Wealth.” She made everyone feel of great worth.
Mrs. Funk is survived by her husband, Lowell C. Funk of Sweet Home; son Rick and daughter-in-law Joan of Lebanon, son Dennis and daughter-in-law Elaine of Sweet Home; daughter-in-law Brenda Suing of Lebanon; daughter Karen Johnston and son-in-law Jim of Canyon City; son Arthur and daughter-in-law Cheryl of Sweet Home; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and sister Helen Gilliland of Bend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Dale; daughter-in-law Sue Funk; two grandchildren, Jamie Funk and Jason Funk; and sister Viola Ford.
Funeral services were held March 26 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
