Doris was born in White, Georgia and was around the 8th of 21 children. She was preceded in death by 16 of her siblings, her 2 husbands, her daughter, 2 of her granddaughters, and an infant great grandson. Doris lived her childhood in Tennessee.
She met and married Wylie Harker Hatch in Bennetsville, South Carolina in 1946. They moved to Auburn, California and bought a ranch in Ophir. They had 5 children: Gary, James, Cheryl, Billy & Charles.
Doris moved with her husband and their 2 youngest sons to Sweet Home, Oregon in 1969. Wylie passed away in 1990. In 1994 Doris met and married Robert Foster Stone in Sweet Home. They moved to Applegate for awhile and then to Port Orchard, Washington. After Robert passed away in 2007, Doris moved back to California where her sons Gary and James and daughter Cheryl shared taking care of her until her death at the age of 81.
Doris was a faithful Christian and attended Sierra Reach Ministries in Applegate. Also while living in Oregon, She attended Community Chapel of Ames Creek and the SDA Church in Sweet Home. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and she is with Him now. God bless her.
A funeral service was held on 12/27/11 at the Chapel of the Hills in Auburn, California. Doris was buried with her husband Wylie in Lewis Cemetery in Sweet Home, Oregon on 12/29/11 at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service was held at that time.
