Valitta Marie Ireland, 76, of Sweet Home died Jan. 5, 2011. She was born Feb. 14, 1934 in New Albin, Iowa, to Fred and Pearl (Sheriff) Newman.
Her family moved to Minnesota, where she lived until 1960, when she moved to Portland and then on to Salem in 1982. She moved to Sweet Home in 1999.
Mrs. Ireland worked at the Sweet Home Gleaners. She attended the Church…
