She was born Nov. 8, 1937 in Coquille, the only child of Benjamin (Papa) and Mae (Nana) Shoemaker.
She married Gordon Barnwell on Aug. 31, 1962; he died in October 2000.
Mrs. Barnwell lived much of her adult life in the San Francisco Bay Area, as a wife and mom, before retiring…
