Beatta Stevahn

Sept. 9, 1925 – April 27, 2008

Beatta Edna Stevahn, 82, of Sweet Home died April 27, 2008. She was born Sept. 9, 1925 in Leith, N.D., to Reinhold and Ida (Martell) Stevahn.

She came to Oregon as a young woman and lived in Portland. She battled heart disease and later Alzheimer’s. She moved to Sweet Home in 2003 to be closer to family.

Mrs. Stevahn attended Bethel Lutheran Church in Sweet Home. She was very involved in her religion throughout her life.

She was very talented at crochet and was a stay-at-home mom.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Mulvanny of Sweet Home and Karen Grosnicoles of Gresham; brothers Leo and Reiny Stevahn; sisters Ruth Blanset, Ina Pekas and Leona Amonn; 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Elavsky and Curtis Cole, and two sisters.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
