Eddie Blanch Offutt, 79, of Lebanon died at her home Nov. 9, 2007.

She was born Sept. 8, 1928 in Idabelle, Okla. to George L. and Fanny (Walker) Irwin. She met and married Clyde Offutt on Oct. 4, 1949 in Brownfield, Texas.

She was a member of the Sweet Home Pentecostal Church of God. She enjoyed playing card games and spending time with her beloved family. She especially enjoyed traveling to Texas, Utah, New Mexico and California to visit her extended family.

Mrs. Offutt is survived by five children, Nancy Jean Petermen of Lebanon, Carolyn and son-in-law Herbert Hopper of Lebanon, George Lee and daughter-in-law Kirsten Offutt of Sweet Home, Ernest and daughter-in-law Becky Offutt of Marcola and Allen Everett and Jo Offutt of Lebanon; two brothers, Virgil Irwin of Oklahoma and George W. Irwin of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters, Gertrude Potts of Oklahoma and Geneva L. Smith of Snyder, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; her beloved niece Billie Ashley of Snyder, Texas, and other nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; her parents; one sister; two brothers; a son-in-law and three grandchildren.

Viewing will be 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 15, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. at Liberty Cemetery with Pastor Tom Grenz officiating.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
