Annie Virginia “Sue” Collins, 84, died on May 3, 2007.
She was born in Wellington, Texas, to Carlos and Callie (McGinnis) Roberts.
At age 2, her family moved to Vernon, Texas, where she was raised.
She met and fell in love with Robert Collins, and they married on Sept. 9, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1994.
After they married, they moved to California and then to Seattle, Wash., for a short stay in 1943. They then returned to California where they remained until they moved to Sweet Home in 1991.
Mrs. Collins was a homemaker till her children were of high school age. She then went to work for Riker Laboratories for 15 years.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting and painting ceramics.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Collins of Sweet Home; son, Robert Collins and wife, Anita, of Sweet Home; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Helen Patton of Sylmar, Calif., and Capitola Kinney of Vernon, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Collins; brother, Robert Roberts; sisters, Vera Poole, Earlene Russell, Oletta Roberts, Chloe Roberts and Dorothy Roberts.
A memorial service will be held at Sweet Home Evangelical Church on May 26 at 5 p.m.
