Granville Philip Hopkins, 88, died Feb. 4, 2006 of heart failure in Portland.
He was born Oct. 17, 1917 in Wichita, Kan.., where he lived until the age of 2, when his family moved to California. He grew up in California and lived there until he moved to Oregon in 1981.
