Bertha E. Ward, 91, of Sweet Home, died Nov. 12, 2005. She was born in Mineola, Ark. to James and Laura Bell (Ray) Ward.
She married Tom Louie Ward in Idabelle, Okla. on Aug. 10, 1936.
Mrs. Ward worked in the potato fields in Doris, Calif. She also taught the 2- and 3-year-old Sunday School at First Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.…
