Herbert Dawson Hagans, 82, of Sweet Home died July 4, 2015.
He was born July 4, 1933 in San Francisco, Calif. to Homer and Anna Marie (Bryant) Hagans.
He served in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1957. He lived in California his entire life until he came to
Oregon in 2005.
Mr. Hagans enjoyed rock cutting and polishing. He loved making things on the ship USS
Yorktown when he was at sea.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hagans of Sweet Home; children Errolyn Bauer of Modesto, Calif., Anna Marie Gerber of Sanger, Calif., Randy Hagans of Sweet Home, Stacey Hagans of Fremont, Calif., and Raymona Wright of Oakland, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hagans was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Marie Hagans; and sister Daphne Anne Real.
A memorial service was held July 13 at Sweet Home Seventh Day Adventist Church.
