Deloris Green

Deloris Laura Green, 78, of Sweet Home died Oct. 14, 2014.

She was born Nov. 25, 1935 in Seattle, Wash. to Hudsul Melvin and Idella June (Caldwell) Payne.

She moved from Seattle to Kirkland, Wash., then on to Eugene and finally to Sweet Home.

Mrs. Green had worked as a beautician, bank teller and computer board assembler.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, reading, decorating and animals. She loved her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, George Burton Green of Sweet Home; children Milton and daughter-in-law Kandi Green of Jackson, Ga., Laura Green of Modesto, Calif., Teresa Green Owens of Sweet Home, Michael and daughter-in-law Rebecca Green of Monroe, Wash., Idella and son-in-law Don Davis of Snohomish, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by grandchildren Heather Davis in 2009, Mitchel Owens and Michael Owens, both in 1984.

Recitation of the Rosary and a memorial Mass were held Oct. 18 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Sweet Home.

Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Green’s name to Goodwill, Salvation Army, Gleaners or the Red Hat Ladies.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
