Raymond Kent

Oct. 25, 1961 – May 1, 2014

Raymond Alan Kent, 52, of Sweet Home died May 1, 2014.

He was born Oct. 25, 1961 in Lebanon to Max and Sheila Jean (Bailey) Kent.

He lived in Sweet Home his entire life. He worked as a carpenter and was good at many things, a real handyman. He wanted things done to perfection.

Mr. Kent had a great love for children and taught his nephew Seth from Texas to fish, as well as taking his friends’ children fishing or for a drive in the woods.

He loved camping, hunting and fishing and just taking a drive in the woods to spend several hours enjoying God’s beauty. He knew the Lord personally and would never deny it. Occasionally, he would bring his mom flowers he picked in the woods.

He mounted several elk horns and had a special elk horn (a huge half of one) which he planned to make into a cribbage board.

Mr. Kent is survived by his mother Sheila Kent; brothers Larry Kent and Duane Kent; sister: Jan Collins, and Sandra and brother-in-law Randy Allen; and 12 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Max Kent in 2005; and brother Gary Kent in 2003.

A memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at River of Life Church.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
