Marvin Eugene Bacher, 85, of Foster died April 19, 2014.
He was born July 29, 1928 in Blackwell, Okla. to Marcus and Mildred (Davison) Bacher.
He lived in California from 1975 until 1978, when he moved to Foster.
Mr. Bacher worked at Crowfoot School District in Lebanon doing maintenance. He was a member of the Elks and Santiam Sams.
He loved camping, hunting and rock hounding.
He is survived by his children, Carolyn King of Albany, Patricia Kau of Lebanon, Gary Bacher of Scio, Tom Bacher of Reno, Nev., and Floyd Bacher of Riverside, Calif.; sister Mary Teeter of Whitney, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bacher was preceded in death by his partner of about 35 years, Iris Bruckbauer; daughter Peggy Bacher; six brothers; and his parents.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
