Rex Edward Jones, 39, of Sisters and recently residing in Sweet Home died on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014.
He was born in Seattle, Wash., to Bruce and Marjorie (Ambrogi) Jones.
He was raised in Everett, Wash. As an adult, he moved to Marysville, Wash. He moved to Sisters two years ago.
Mr. Jones served four years in the Marines after high school. Rex was a well-respected, hard-working machinist specializing in the lathe.
He enjoyed NASCAR, crabbing and target practice. He loved playing with his children and hunting with his dad.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, April; son, Hunter; daughter, Courtney; stepson, Jerrett, of Sisters, Oregon; parents, Bruce and Marjorie Jones, of Sweet Home; sister, Barbara and her husband, Neal Bond, of Astoria; and two nephews.
Mass will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Everett, Wash. A celebration of life will follow in the church hall.
