He was born March 28, 1951 in Garden City, Kan. to Roy and Denzel (Honstead) Johnston.
He served in the United States Navy.
Mr. Johnston enjoyed fishing and trains.
He is survived by his children, Alicia Furrey, Tim Johnston, Tina Cox, Mathew Johnston and James Johnston; sisters Janet and Phyllis; and 12 grandchildren.
