Freddie Milligan

Fred Earl Milligan, 64, a long-time resident of Sweet Home, died in Albany Dec. 10, 2012.

He was born Nov. 16, 1948 in Golden, Okla., the son of Fred and Georgia (Rainey) Milligan. His family moved to Sweet Home in 1950.

Mr. Milligan went to school in Portland to become a diesel mechanic. In 1966 he married Jessie Stover. They had three children before divorcing in 1981. In 1994 he met Tina Rogers and they married in 2009.Mr. Milligan worked hard all his life to provide for his family. He loved to fish and take drives with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Milligan; sons Anthony Milligan of Sweet Home and Michael Milligan of Lebanon; daughters Deborah Rhyno of Sweet Home and Nikki Rogers of Albany; brothers Bud and Jerry Milligan, both of Sweet Home, Roger Milligan of Albany, and Larry Milligan of Lebanon; sisters Edna Ferebee and Barbara Anderson, both of Albany; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

A memorial service was held Dec. 17 at the Sweet Home VFW Hall. Donations may be made on his behalf at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel to help with funeral costs.
