Betty Jo Maxon, 88, of Sweet Home died Feb. 12, 2012.
She was born Aug. 27, 1923 in Wright City, Okla. to Lawrence and Pearl (Hunnicutt) Gaskey.
She lived in Sweet Home from 1948 until her passing.
Mrs. Maxon loved quilting, gardening, embroidery and family gatherings.
She is survived by her daughters, Evelyn and son-in-law Jim Maynard and Diane and son-in-law Smokey Grant, all of Sweet Home, and son Jim and daughter-in-law Toni Brodie of Newport; brother Buck Gaskey of Mandeville, La., six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Maxon; four sisters; and two brothers.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
