Douglas “Doug” Schamp, 60 of Brownsville died Monday. He was born to Harold and Marion (Salter) Schamp in Deadwood, S.D.
Mr. Schamp grew up in Corvallis, attending the schools there. He joined the Navy at age 17 and was trained in nuclear submarines. After graduating from Oregon State University he entered officers training in Pensicola, Fla. During his military career Mr. Schamp traveled all over the world. He…
