Maxine Cox, 83, of Sweet Home, died March 31, 2006 at her home.
She was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Bernice, Okla., to Joseph and Octavia (Stewart) Miller. Her family moved to Washington after the death of her father.
She married James Floyd Cox on Feb. 10, 1939. They lived in Washington until Nov. 4, 1944, when they moved to Sweet Home.
