Ellen “Frances” Veilhauer, 100, of Sweet Home, died Thursday.
She was born in Michigan to Earl and Myrtle (Atkinson) Reed.
Frances graduated in 1924 from Adelphian Academy in Michigan. She taught school for eight years. She became a national transcriber for the blind.
In 1943 she married Edwin Veilhauer. He was drafted soon after their marriage. She went to school at PUC while he was in the service.…
