Shoppers, compare!
I recently checked out the new Dollar Tree store. And Dollar General, while I was at it.
I just want to remind shoppers to read the labels for quantity and price. Some things cost more at these “cheap” stores than they do at Bi-Mart. Other items are truly cheaper. Just take the time to look and analyze.
For instance, Bi-Mart sells 64 ounces of cranberry juice cocktail, 27 percent juice, for $2 on sale. At Dollar Tree I picked up a jug that looked about the same size (I forgot to check the actual ounces) for $1, but it was only 5 percent real juice. That is not a bargain! If you want 5 percent juice, save money and get the Bi-Mart version and dilute it with four jugs of water.
So check the labels for shampoo, or dustpans. I did notice that the Dollar Tree had cheap greeting cards.
