Pedestrians, please wear bright colored or reflective clothes when you are out and about at night, especially if you are going to be crossing the highway.
Make sure oncoming vehicles can see you; if not, wait until they pass. Drivers cannot always see you if you have dark pants and a dark sweatshirt with the hood up.
I came dangerously close to someone like that crossing Highway 20 between Sweet Home and Foster before I realized he was there.
Drivers too, please use extra caution on the nights when visibility is poor. I saw a man lying dead on the same strip of pavement one day on my way to work. I certainly don’t want to see something like that again or be the cause of it.
