I found it very disturbing when I was informed that a vote to give administrators, supervisors and confidential employees a raise was coming. I find it hard, amongst all the cuts and services to students by way of employee hours being cut, to justify even the thought of such a notion.
The administration and board keep telling us we don’t have the funding to service our schools, yet a raise is coming to the table?
Seriously? What is wrong with this picture, folks? Shame on the powers that be who would even consider such a request. If the school board is the powers that be and is considering this, perhaps we need to give this board the boot and elect new people to these positions.
I’m not trying to sound negative, but I think a little common sense might be in order here, folks. If we don’t have it, don’t spend it. Call me crazy, but if the administration and board say we are in crisis mode, why would this even be considered?
Please, a little common sense on this issue, people?
