According to county records, the Holley School District was formed in 1855 and although several changes have taken place since that time, it has remained Holley School throughout those 156 years.
The recent suggestion to change its name, while well intended, is a costly and unnecessary activity.
Through the years boundary changes have resulted in Holley students transferring to Crawfordsville or Oak Heights and the closure of Liberty and Pleasant Valley Schools necessitated students…
