We have lived in Sweet Home and subscribed to The New Era for over 26 years. There have been numerous times that we have seriously considered canceling our subscription to The New Era because of its far-right views.
This past week (indeed over the last several months!) was another one of those times because, once again, a mean-spirited, distorted political cartoon and editorial were in the paper! It comes across as major sour grapes and not all of us out here agree with these constant one-sided views!
Hope feels a lot better than fear and we look forward to a better America for ALL of us with our new President!
Then there is ole Jeani West. We can always count on her to write a bitter view of us horrible liberals. In the dictionary, “liberal” is defined as, “Possessing or manifesting a free and generous heart, bountiful. Not narrow in opinion or judgment.” Sure would be nice if Jeani could find a little more of that “free and generous heart”.
