Aug. 27, 2008 – How many thousands and thousands of gallons of water will be wasted and going down the gutter before the leak is fixed?
This is on Laurel Court in the Duck Hollow Subdivision.
This leak has been going on since last Thursday night, Aug. 21, and was reported the next morning.
Some workers came out to check it out and made some marks on the street. Since that day, I saw two trucks on Saturday come down the street, slow down, look at the area that is leaking and then drive off.
Of course, no one came on Sunday.
Monday, I did see a truck come down the street and look. Yep, it is still bubbling up from the sidewalk. Tuesday, a truck drove down again. They looked, and then off they went.
By now, the steady stream of water going down the gutter is really running as if a hose is laying down and running. The water is also about a foot out into the street.
So much water is going to waste. I sure would like to know why this is allowed to happen when so many of us try to conserve.
Is it OK since we have two dams close by? Or that we are not on a water shortage?
I certainly would like to see an explanation for all the wasted water running for days.
There was another leakage on this same street last month. It was reported on a Sunday, and by Tuesday, they had the leak fixed.
