The paper almost always names me whenever flowers are mentioned. The “Beautification Committee” also gets high marks for the beautiful flowers downtown.
What you don’t know are all the people who make this possible. Most do it for the love of our community and really enjoy gardening.
I’d like to name these people and give them warm thanks for all they do. Some are members of the Garden Club, and others have helped out when they have had the time.
Special thanks to Joyce Geil, Phyllis Osborn, Karla Loree, Vivian Chelstad, Alice Gallogly, Linda Mader, Betty McCollum, Kirsten Offutt, Bennie Dahlenburg, Craig Dawson, Craig Martin, Tim McQueary, John McIntosh, John Neely and Juanita Hennink.
I encourage you to thank these people too for helping our community become a place where people slow down to enjoy the drive through town. Our community is looking wonderful with all the flowers blooming on Main Street.
