I just wonder who is responsible for not resurfacing that wretched one mile called Holley Road??!! Last year, I contacted ODOT who blamed Sweet Home City. Everyone pays taxes to both ODOT and Sweet Home City to take care of these things, and yet, here we are about 10 years after ODOTresurfaced 228, Holley Road is still the same crumbling road.
Someone needs to step up to the plate and get the job done. We are sick and tired of trying to dodge potholes that appear with every rainy day. One cannot see them at night when they are full of rain, so you are jarred by them and this damages your alignment.
We had read in The New Era over two years ago that the road would have to be resurfaced by September 2004, I believe, so we patiently waited. Well, something went wrong and we, who live on that side of the city, need to start pressuring some department or official to get the job done. But, the question remains, who do we talk to?
I’ll look into that, but I need support as I am about to be too busy daytimes to accomplish this. So, I
call out to whomever reads this and is as disgusted as I to help.
