America needs to shape up

Editor:

President Bush, he is for the homeland. He took a stand to defend this land, home of the brave, land of the free, to believe for you and me that he is doing the best he can.

He is humble and honored to serve our land. He is a great president who strives under the pressure that takes a toll over life and liberty in protection and defense in the cause, which means more to believe in for the sake of righteousness and does not take but gives to America.

What is greater than the gift to serve than to receive reward? President Bush has given to the office, asking our support in return to represent Americans for the rights they believe in for a better country.

I say clean up America. We need the United States first. There is the whole world, but we, the Americans, have needs too.

How many innocent people are being killed here in the United States? What about breaking of the law? Why do I hear the law protects the guilty?

It seems anymore that Americans don’t even have independence. All it is, is war, war and more war. I believe in that but to fight for what is right against wrong.

If everything is right, why cause trouble? But if something is wrong, there needs to have something to act on, to defend our rights or lay down like an old worn-out rug. There is a difference.

Americans need to stand up for their rights, and again, I would like to see more of that in the United States.

The United States’ people need to stand united. We are broken down into sections called our states. Each state has laws, but the federal is how we connect into the United States. And the United States is our country.

Let us keep this country clean. Our own backyards need to be clean before going over to our neighbor’s, but I feel someone else needs to be invited to my house and be friendly, not causing any problems at my house.

Silly commercials will come on the TV, and people would say, “Oh, what will they think of next?” Well let us think of peace for ourselves then world peace later. The United States needs to be strong in our own country.

How many gray areas do we need before we can say, “OK, enough is enough”? With a good solid back-to-earth standing with a stronger backbone to improve, to have integrity and to build a better nation is a great answer.

It starts with one person reaching out to help another person then another so that there is a good solid ground together to give a good view of a matter to unite.
