Unhappy resident should move away

Editor:

The townspeople of Sweet home have always been for the most part a very close community. The great people of this town have always stepped up and helped out other townspeople in need. It may be time to help another community member.

Reading the letters to the editor over the last several months it has become very clear that Kim Lawrence is very unhappy with this great community. As a concerned member of Sweet Home and not wanting anyone to be unhappy, I believe that I may have a solution.

An account can be set up at any of the local banks for donations, and the citizens of Sweet Home can purchase a new home for Kim Lawrence, not just any home but a whole town.

I was recently through the small town of Millican, 30 miles east of Bend. The whole town is for sale, and this would ensure that Kim Lawrence would be able to make all the important town decisions.

She could be her own cop, the editor of her own newspaper, school teacher, city council person, mayor and last but not least, her own animal control officer. She would be able to make sure that all the neighbor’s dogs stayed in their own yards and that cats didn’t hang themselves due to those ridiculous collars. She would be able to have poker tournaments seven days a week.

This may be heaven on earth for Kim. As a close-knit community, I think we owe it to ourselves to consider this idea.
