Girls Basketball at Home

The Huskies lost to Phoenix 58-47 at home Friday, scoring nearly three-quarters of their points in the second half of the game. The girls trailed 30-12 at halftime before a strong second-half rally, scoring 13 in the third quarter and 22 in the fourth. “They won first half,” said Coach Dave McNeil. “We won second half. Too bad we did not have a decent second quarter or we would have had them.” Leading the charge were Kayla Miller who scored 14 points in the game; April Underwood, 11; and Busek, 8. The Huskies also lost 55-27 at Central Linn on Dec. 4 and 63-24 at home against North Valley on Friday. They were scheduled to travel to Jefferson Tuesday and will visit Siuslaw on Dec. 18.
