In softball action, the Huskies beat Sutherlin twice Friday in a doubleheader at home, winning 6-1 in the first game and shutting out Sutherlin 10-0 in five innings.
After those games, Sweet Home is 6-4 in league and 10-8 overall behind Junction City, 8-1, and Elmira, 11-1.
Sutherlin, 4-7, is in fourth place in the Sky-Em League. Sisters, 2-7 is in fifth, and Cottage Grove, 0-11, is last.
The Huskies were scheduled to play at Junction City Monday evening and host Elmira Tuesday. They will host Sisters next Tuesday.

The Huskies started off sluggish as the girls tried to figure out how to hit against Sutherlin’s slow pitching style.
“We hit the ball very hard,” Hartsook said. “It was just right to their defense. We we got our hits going, they were quality hits.”
Sunhee Bitter singled and stole second in the third inning. Ally Tow hit a home run to put two runs on the scoreboard. Madi Barringer doubled, and Allison Minder hit a hard ground ball and reached on an error at third base, scoring Barringer.
The Huskies scored another run in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, while Sutherlin mustered just one run in the fifth.
Sydney Mauer went 2-3 with an RBI and a double, and Bitter went 2-4 with two RBIs and a run to lead Sweet Home at the plate. Also hitting were Sarita Zanona, Tow, Barringer and Torree Hawken.
Kayla Luther and Taylor Moser led Sutherlin with two hits each.
Throwing for the Huskies, Zanona gave up six hits and no earned runs. She walked one batter and struck out five.
For Sutherlin, Westrom gave up eight hits, four earned runs and a walk.

Mauer doubled to lead off the second inning and scored a run in the second when a shot from Makenna Melbye grounded out.
Zanona and Barringer scored on the same wild pitch in the third inning to build a 3-0 lead.
Kylie Armstrong singled in the fourth inning to score Torree Hawken. Armstrong and Bitter scored on an error in left field on a fly ball from Zanona to build a 6-0 lead.
Sweet Home scored four more times in the fifth. JV swing player Kirdy Koehne and Miner ran home on wild pitches. Mauer scored after tagging up on a fly out, and Bitter sacrificed to bring Melbye home and end the game.
Hitting were Bitter, Tow, Barringer, Miner, Mauer, Hawken and Armstrong. Mauer and Barringer hit doubles, while Melbye, Armstrong, Bitter and Ashtyn Walker recorded RBIs.
Westrom singled twice for Sutherlin.
Walker pitched most of five innings, giving up one hit and striking out three. Armstrong threw three pitches, giving up one hit.
Throwing, Westrom gave up six hits, four earned runs and four walks in 4 2/3 innings. She struck out one Husky. In relief, Jakubek gave up one hit, two earned runs and a walk.
