Swim championships competitors

These Sweet Home Swim Club members qualified for and swam in championship meets over the summer. From left, they are Josie Hewitt, Lauren Yon, Jamie Seward, Chloe Tyler, Lucia Davis, Nathan Hagar, Megan Hagar, Sarah Hewitt and Brandon Vasfaret. At the USA Futures Championships at Stanford University in August, Davis was sixth in the 800 meter freestyle, 15th in the 400 freestyle, 33rd in the 200 freestyle and ninth in the 1500 freestyle; Nathan Hager was ninth in the 100 meter freestyle and 9th in the 200 meter freestyle; and Yon competed in the 200 breaststroke, 200 freestyle and 200 IM. Placewinners at the Oregon State 11-14 Championships were: Mia Davis, 12th in the 200 meter butterfly; Megan Hager, first in the 200 meter freestyle; second in the 50 freestyle, second in the 100 freestyle, third in the 100 butterfly, and third in the 400 freestyle; Chloe Tyler, fifth in the 200 meter individual medley, 6th in the 200 freestyle, eighth in the 400 freestyle, and seventh in the 100 freestyle. Though they didn’t place, Brandon Vasfaret had best times in all his events. Sarah Hewitt and Josie Hewitt both had best times in several events.
