Sweet Home didn’t look particularly powerful Saturday at the Philomath Invitational swim meet, but the Huskies were missing all but seven of their 40-plus swimmers thanks to the high school Winter Formal.
“With the Winter Formal going on at the high school, I gave the team a choice of swimming at Philomath or attending the Formal,” Coach Doug Peargin said, noting that 11 teams participated in the all-day meet.
“There was some great competition and the swimmers that went represented us very well.”
Sweet Home will host Salem Academy at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, and then will swim at Salem Academy on Saturday, Jan. 17.
