High temperatures continued to be a challenge for Sweet Home’s cross-country runners last week in two competitions, one among the toughest courses in the state and the other one of the fastest fields in the state.
The Huskies competed Wednesday, Sept. 10, in the Silver Falls Invitational, known to runners as “The Monster” for a steep, nearly mile-long climb midway through that few competitors can climb without walking.
