Not only did Sweet Home’s girls win the district swim meet and place third in state, but they also finished at the top of the 4A/3A/2A/1A Academic All-State girls swimming list, with a 3.85 team GPA.
The Huskies finished well ahead of second-place Newport and Salem Academy, which scored 3.76.
The boys swim team finished 10th, tied with Cottage Grove, with a 3.28 GPA.
Boys basketball made the 3.00-plus list, tied for 19th along with La Salle Prep, scoring 3.14, and the girls were 25th at 3.27.
Sweet Home’s competition cheer squad was the other winter squad to finish above 3.00, with a 3.02 team GPA.
