The Huskies lost 58-49 at Sisters on the foul line Friday evening and 59-56 at Junction on Jan. 21 on a last-second three in overtime.
Sisters 58, Sweet Home 49
Sisters went to the foul line 28 times on 23 fouls and two technical fouls, which sidelined Hunter Jutte for Tuesday’s contest against Cottage Grove, while the Huskies had just four free throw attempts on eight fouls.
The Huskies held a 15-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. Sisters led 24-21 at halftime and 43-33 at the end of the third quarter.
“I was proud of the kids playing hard,” said Coach Tim Porter. “it’s sometimes hard to play through that – when things don’t seem to be going your way.”
The Huskies will visit Elmira on Saturday and host La Pine on Feb. 7.
