Sophomore John Lovik ran 17:23 at the state cross country meet Saturday afternoon to finish 26th.
Lovik was the only Husky runner to qualify for state.
Among his Capital Conference rivals, Lovik finished behind only Molalla’s senior David Paulisoul, 14th, 16:57, and junior Ben Howard, 21st, 17:19. He finished ahead of Howard at the district meet.
