The Sweet Home girls basketball team started their first league play in the Oregon West Conference on Jan. 19 losing 15-76 to Cascade, which is ranked No. 9 in the 4A division.
The Cougars (7-5) jumped out to a considerable 24-2 lead just after the first quarter. Following the first, the Cougars were able to get a substantial 48-9 lead by halftime. The Huskies, although behind, continued their fight. Coach Erika Evans commented…
