Colton Schilling notched a second All-American honor as he wound up his high school career at the ASICS Junior National Tournament in Fargo, N.D. July 20-21.
Schilling was seventh in Greco at 126 pounds after pinning the eventual winner in an early match, Coach Steve Thorpe said.
“The other guy just got a different draw and ended up winning it,” he said. “It was very exciting.”
Schilling also won All-American status as a sophomore when he finished second. He will attend and wrestle at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the fall.
His younger brother, Tyler Schilling, missed placing by one spot in both Greco and freestyle after finishing fifth in Greco last year.
Tyler Schilling is heading to Germany with an Oregon team on a cultural exchange trip beginning Wednesday, July 24.
