Kasey Carlson was the overall winner of the inaugural Sportsman’s Holiday Mile Saturday.
Carlson, a former runner for Sweet Home High School, took the lead almost immediately and ran away from his nearest competition, Jake Smith, to finish in 5:16, 10 seconds ahead of Smith.
Jessica Trautwein was the first female finisher, running 6:35.
