Russell Hurst came out of the dark and into the light after being hired by Pacific Power and Light as a meter reader. Hurst had been working nights as a forklift driver at U.S. Plywood. In addition to reading meters two days a week, Hurst helps people with “little things,” such as putting in fuses and contacting the phone company when a phone is out of order.
