Dennis Lester Lewis

Dennis Lester Lewis, 77, of Sweet Home passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024. He was born on April 24, 1947 to Leroy and Melita (Boeckel) Lewis in Sweet Home.
Dennis worked for Willamette Industries for 28 years. He founded and pastored Victory Faith Fellowship Church in Foster for 35 years. He and his wife Carol were also foster parents for about 15 years, providing a home and family to many children.
He loved spending time with his family, teaching and preaching God’s Word. Dennis was an honorable man, faithful husband and dedicated father. He had a servant’s heart, always ministering to others and ready to help where his many skills were needed. Dennis also enjoyed working on cars.
Dennis is survived by his wife Carol (Calhoon) Lewis of Sweet Home; his children: Tony Lewis of Sweet Home, Rebecca Taylor of Tangent, Tiffany Troite of Sweet Home, Zachary Lewis of Sweet Home, Jeff Anderson of Canby, Andy Free of Columbia Falls, MT, Julie Volkers of Lebanon, Tiffany Horn of Polson, MT, Phillipe Lewis of Buffalo, NY; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas Lewis; sisters Myrtle Golly and Irene Parker.
